Amazing Three Chime Train Whistles Made Entirely Out Of PVC Piping!

chime whistles

“They look and sound just like traditional chime steam whistles.”

If you want genuine steam whistle sound but have no access to live steam, and if you want the added benefit of affordable pricing, then you have found the answer.

Click on the picture to see more of these whistles.

Click to the right on the play button to hear one of these whistles. You'll be amazed at its power and tone!

These three chime whistles are made entirely out of PVC materials and are all hand crafted, and are designed to be used with COMPRESSED AIR ONLY - NOT FOR OPERATION ON STEAM.
You would think that being made out of plastic these whistles would sound like toys, but that’s not true at all! I was quite amazed when I made my first one, and my neighbors loved it as well, although the dogs in the neighborhood did not! I make these whistles in several sizes as follows:
2 1/4", 3 1/4", 5", and 71/4" diameter; they all vary in height depending on what size whistle I make.
“How far away can they be heard?” you ask. Well, my brother-in-law lives just over a mile from where I do and he can always hear the whistles echoing off the hillside on his property. You can use a regular whistle valve on these whistles, however, I prefer to use a ball valve because I can get better control of the sound also make the whistle “talk” or quill with a ball valve. Each whistle has its own unique personality as far as the sound is concerned; no two sound alike. There are 3 tubes inside the bell that produce the chimes and they vary in size and length depending on what size the whistle is.

These whistles can be used wherever compressed air is available, on trucks, boats, shop, wherever. They are very loud and have a very beautiful authentic steam whistle sound.
The whistles are primed and painted with Krylon paint, and clear coated if requested. Colors available are Gold (Brass), Copper, Black & Gold, Black or Bronze. For me, whistle building is a hobby; what makes this hobby so much fun is that I can get all kinds of beautiful, lonesome sounds out of each whistle. The most popular whistle I make is the 3 1/4" dia. which sells for $150.00 plus shipping and handling.
The 5" dia. sells for $235.00 plus shipping
The 7 1/4" sells for $475.00 plus shipping
The 2 1/4" sells for $100.00 plus shipping
Most of the whistles come with a 3/4" threaded fitting or a 1/2" threaded fitting. The largest whistle comes with a either a 1" or a 1 1/4" threaded fitting.
All whistles ordered will be made in the order that they are received so please allow 2 to 3 weeks upon receipt of payment for delivery. Each whistle comes with complete instructions and information regarding the maximum allowable air pressure and piping requirements. All orders will be shipped via standard UPS shipping.
